tbi bank announces a partnership with LEPAS, an automotive brand owned by Chinese group Chery that recently entered the Romanian market, becoming its main financing partner for individual customers purchasing LEPAS vehicles. Through LEPAS Financing, customers can access financing solutions with annual interest rates starting from 4.9% and benefit from a financial incentive of 5,000 lei when purchasing a LEPAS vehicle with tbi bank financing until the end of 2026.
The partnership will develop alongside LEPAS’ expansion in Romania, where the brand is represented by importer Materom and currently operates eight showrooms, with plans to expand its network to more than 30 locations nationwide. The 5,000 lei financial incentive will also be available to customers when new LEPAS dealerships open, while the collaboration will include the brand’s participation in Open Fest, a series of events organised by tbi bank in major cities across Romania.
“Romania’s automotive market is becoming increasingly diverse, with the arrival of new brands such as LEPAS giving customers more choice. Financing plays an important role in purchasing decisions, particularly when customers are looking for affordable and predictable solutions for a significant investment. Through our partnership with LEPAS, we aim to offer attractive financing terms while supporting the brand’s growth in the Romanian market as its dealership network expands,” said Ionut Sabadac, VP Partners Enabling, tbi bank.
LEPAS officially entered the Romanian market on 30 September 2026 through Materom Group, the brand’s exclusive importer. The first model available is the LEPAS L8, a plug-in hybrid SUV, while the brand recently unveiled the L6 PHEV at the Bucharest Motor Show. The company is preparing to expand both its range of vehicles available in Romania and its dealership network. As the network grows, tbi bank’s LEPAS Financing solutions will become accessible to customers in an increasing number of cities across the country.
“Romania is an important market for LEPAS’ growth, and our goal is to build a nationwide dealership network and offer customers the best possible conditions for purchasing a vehicle. Our partnership with tbi bank allows us to complement our offering with competitive financing solutions tailored to customers’ needs. As we expand our presence across the country, we want financing to be equally simple and convenient to access at every dealership,” said Rodica Baciu, Deputy Director General, Grupul Materom.
Earlier this year, tbi bank entered a new phase of development following its acquisition by Advent International, one of the world’s largest private equity investors, with approximately 100 billion US dollars in assets under management.
