AmpliFY ONG and Orange Foundation, through the Orange Digital Center program, are launching Digital Builders, a program that helps Romanian NGOs manage their data more efficiently, simplify monitoring processes, and better assess the impact of their activities.
The project runs from September to December 2026 and brings together NGO representatives, student volunteers, and experts to build working systems in Airtable, without requiring programming skills.
By the end of the pilot edition, the initiative aims to equip at least 10 NGOs with functional databases tailored to their activities. The first free webinar will take place on October 15.
Digital Builders is the first project developed through the partnership between AmpliFY ONG and Orange Foundation to help the nonprofit sector work more efficiently with data. The initiative addresses a need identified among NGOs: although organizations collect data on beneficiaries, volunteers, donors, and projects, this information is often scattered across Excel files, Google Sheets, forms, and other tools that are not connected to one another. Without a centralized system, tracking beneficiaries' histories and project outcomes becomes difficult.
Through Digital Builders, organizations will receive support in developing systems tailored to their activities. The program focuses on organizing existing data, simplifying workflows, and developing the skills teams need to manage the solutions they create independently.
"Digital Builders is a natural continuation of our efforts to help the NGO sector work more efficiently through digital tools. Our experience with the NO Code Academy for NonProfit project, developed together with organizations from France and Belgium, gave us the opportunity to better understand their needs and build a learning foundation for those who want to develop useful, practical digital solutions for organizations, without requiring programming skills. Through this new partnership, we want to make the most of the educational resources available free of charge on the Orange Digital Center platform and amplify the results by reaching a wider audience and better addressing their needs. Orange Foundation has a mission to help bridge the digital divide in the community, and we believe the NGO sector deserves our full support in its efforts to bring about positive change in Romanian society," said Ovidiu Ana, Executive Director of Orange Foundation.
"Organizations need practical support when introducing a new tool into their daily operations. Through Digital Builders, we provide an environment where they can work with their own data, learn from one another, and adapt best practices to their needs. During the buildathon, they will put what they have learned into practice, with volunteers and experts by their side. We want teams to understand the systems they build and be able to use and manage them independently," said Mădălina Tămaș, Program Manager at AmpliFY ONG.
The webinar "Airtable for NGOs: How to Organize Your Data to Better Track the Impact of Your Activities" will take place online on October 15, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Participation is free. The session will be held in English, and no prior experience with Airtable is required. Registration is open on the event page.
The webinar will be led by Pello Múgica Gonzalez, co-founder of Moonland, an accredited Airtable Gold Partner that works with nonprofit organizations on program management, impact measurement, and reporting. Participants will learn how to turn the "Theory of Change" into a practical system in Airtable by connecting activities, outcomes, indicators, and the evidence collected. The session will also include a practical demonstration in which an example will be built step by step.
The program will continue with an online course available on the Orange Digital Center platform from October to November, followed by a two-day buildathon in Bucharest in November. Between 10 and 15 organizations will be selected for this stage and will work alongside volunteers and experts to develop solutions tailored to their needs. The goal is for each participating organization to create a functional database, integrate its existing information, and automate at least one workflow.
From November to December, volunteers will continue to provide mentorship to help organizations integrate the developed systems into their day-to-day operations. Participants will be selected progressively for the subsequent stages of the program.
Volunteers will primarily be students from the University of Bucharest and the National University of Science and Technology Politechnica Bucharest who are interested in technology and no-code solutions. In November, they will be able to attend a dedicated webinar. Afterwards, student volunteers will work alongside NGOs to address real-world data organization challenges. This will allow them to develop their digital skills and help NGO teams use the platform and manage their own databases. Participation in the activities is free of charge.
