Dumitrescu will be responsible for Hotspot Romania’s operational and commercial activities, driving the company’s development and expansion plans, scouting new business opportunities, and reinforcing relationships with partners and clients. She will also lead strategy for the corporate client portfolio and bolster Hotspot’s position in the Romanian market. A key priority will be consolidating the brand in the flexible office segment by broadening service offerings and continuously adapting them to companies’ needs for operational efficiency, flexibility, and high workplace standards.
The appointment coincides with a period of swift growth for Hotspot. After extending its space in The Mark building, the company revealed plans for Hotspot Exclusive, a new premium site within One Tower expected to open by the end of 2026. Hotspot currently runs two locations in Bucharest—Hotspot Workhub and Hotspot Skyhub—operating at a 95% occupancy rate with a tenant retention rate of approximately 99%. The forthcoming Hotspot Exclusive will expand the company’s portfolio in the premium flexible office segment.
“Cristina’s appointment as Managing Director comes at an important time for Hotspot, as we are strengthening our market presence and preparing for new stages of growth. Cristina has over two decades of experience in the real estate industry and a deep understanding of the office market, and since joining our team two years ago, she has demonstrated her ability to turn business opportunities into tangible results. We built Hotspot based on the belief that a premium workspace must offer companies more than just high-quality infrastructure—it must provide integrated services, flexibility, and an experience that meets their real needs. I am confident that, under Cristina’s leadership, we will continue to develop this business model, expand our portfolio of locations, and strengthen Hotspot’s position in Romania’s flexible office space market, while maintaining the quality standards that define us.”, said Andreas Schlote, founder of Hotspot.
Dumitrescu joined Hotspot in 2024 as Business Development Director, a role in which she helped forge business relationships, attract new tenants, and increase the company’s presence in the local office market.
“Taking on this role as Managing Director marks an important milestone in my professional career. The experience I’ve gained over the years has taught me that business success is built on people, trust, and strong relationships. I am delighted to continue this journey alongside the Hotspot team, in a role that gives me the opportunity to contribute to the growth of a company whose values and vision I believe in. In the medium and long term, my goal is to consolidate what we have built so far, develop new business opportunities, and continue Hotspot’s expansion while maintaining the same high standards of quality. We have a clear direction for growth, and I am confident that, together with the team, we will turn our goals into tangible results.”, said Cristina Dumitrescu, Managing Director of Hotspot Romania.
With more than 20 years in real estate, Cristina Dumitrescu brings broad expertise across conventional and flexible office formats, including real estate consulting, commercial development, and operational management. A graduate of the Faculty of Law, she began her career in 2004 with the CBRE franchise in Romania and continued at Eurisko CBRE Romania. Her leadership roles include positions at IWG plc (Regus) as General Manager and Enterprise Sales Manager, and Office Leasing Director at Hagag Development Europe. Her background also includes work at Genpact Romania, where she gained experience in real estate consulting, representing owners and developers, and in the operational management and administration of flexible office spaces.
Through this appointment, Hotspot aims to reinforce its management team to support forthcoming development stages and to address growing demand from local and international companies seeking fully equipped, adaptable premium workspaces.
